Forest Ecodek Composite Deck Kit

Original price was: £1,219.23.Current price is: £1,172.34.

Product Description

The Ecodek Heritage composite deck kit provides an instant, stylish area that is quick and easy to build. Made of a wood & plastic composite, it’s designed to have the look and feel of natural timber with the additional benefits of a material that will not stain, warp, split or flake, has minimal fade and is easy to maintain.

This kit comes ready to assemble with all the components needed to build a square deck measuring 2.4m x 2.4m ideal for smaller gardens or courtyards.

Manufactured in the UK, the deck boards have a solid, rather than a hollow core, making them strong and rigid. They are made up of a composition of recycled high-density polyethylene and beech hardwood fibres from sustainable sources – making them an environmentally sound choice.

The deck boards can be fixed either side up with either the natural wood grain effect or more contemporary rigid profile showing – the choice is yours. And for a sleek, professional finish the fixings neatly screw down flush with the boards.

The kit includes everything you need: pressure treated timber joists for making the base, deck boards, side fascias, colour matched screws, spacers and the required drill-bit. A small amount of sawing is required to cut the timber joists to size. Includes a 25 year limited manufacturer’s warranty.

The additional wooden shed base provides and solid, quick, easy and effective solution to preparing a base for a Forest Overlap or Shiplap shed. Sheds must always be built on a solid and level base and poured concrete or concrete slabs are usually recommended but these do add cost, time and complexity. This wooden base is a quick and easy alternative to slabs or poured concrete. It has the added benefit of raising the shed, further isolating it from the ground which helps to prevent water splash back in heavy rain.

This robust and long-lasting base has tiny incisions that go deep into the timber that allow the pressure treatment preservative to penetrate deep into timber, protecting it from rot and making it suitable for ground contact.

The base should be laid on level ground or propped with suitable material on uneven ground. While building a shed directly on dirt or grass is not recommend this shed base does make this a possibility provided a suitable heavy duty weed membrane is used under the base.
